 CARE pulls information from real-time and automated operations information systems, such as SCADA, TOA, PI, and substation systems. It aggregates all of that information into algorithms that allow you to construct formulas that combine maintenance and automated data. The data is stored in your Cascade database and linked to the correct equipment. Algorithms are run on specified schedules to evaluate equipment health. If any calculation exceeds its threshold value, Cascade alerts you to a potential problem and generates maintenance orders to address the condition. You can output periodic trending information as well as formula-based readings for Cascade.

CARE gathers information from SCADA, thermography, TOA, etc., as well as from OSIsoft's PI, substation automation systems and operations information systems. It aggregates all of that information into algorithms that allow users to construct formulas that combine both manual and automated data. Periodic trending information can then be outputted as well as formula-based readings for Cascade that can be run on a scheduled basis or conditioned-based interval.
CARE automatically scans the tag database for new tags and input them into the Cascade database, matching tag information to the correct equipment. Algorithms can then be run at selected schedules to evaluate equipment health. If any algorithmic calculation exceeds its threshold value, Cascade alerts the user to the problem and then proceeds with the necessary maintenance orders to solve the problem.
CARE, like the rest of Cascade, makes it extremely simple to locate external information (such as PI tags and equipment) and associate it with equipment type then identify tag types. CARE goes one step further to protect your substation equipment. Current customers have found that previous breakdowns could have been avoided if equipment information could have been consolidated and looked at as a unit. Now, CARE gives them that ability.
